Precious Moments Preschool is an Early Education Program licensed and regulated through the Department of Early Education and Care. My name is Samantha Benoit and I am the Owner/Educator. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Education and Care from Salem State University and have also completed licensing for Lead Teacher and Director Two Certification. I work alongside my Certified Assistant and together we strive to provide our students with a safe and nurturing environment for them to come to every day to grow and learn!
We are a play-based program that focuses on creating opportunities for children to explore and interact with their peers. For children to learn, they must be willing to take risks and try new things. It is our goal to maintain a program where our students feel confident and secure enough to go outside of their comfort zone and push their own developmental boundaries. At Precious Moments, we recognize that all children are their own individuals and develop at their own pace. In order for children to be successful, they need a structure that allows for flexibility. We follow a daily routine that gives the children predictability while allowing us to follow their lead and adapt to fit their needs. Weather permitting, we spend as much time outside as possible, exploring in our fenced-in area or going for a walk in the neighborhood.
Communication between educators and families is extremely important to ensure that children receive the best care possible. Parents receive monthly newsletters summarizing what and how the children are learning each month as well as any updates to the program. Student evaluations are sent home at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. For more private and important conversations or concerns, I am always available for in-person meetings as well as by phone, text, and e-mail. There is a private Facebook page available to only families in my program where I can post updates and reminders as well as pictures of the kids working hard and having fun!
